So I cried because I’m a sappy sapphic dumbass who cries when gays get to be gay and happy.

I love how Casey Mcquiston writes these queer stories wholly intended for queer people to enjoy and be safe in.

Every single of the characters in this book is queer and proud of it and they represent the crazy found family aspect of queer friendships that I adore.

Jane and August have this wild, one in a lifetime, sexy romance that seems to just become crazier and hotter as it keeps going. Jane is a complete wild cracker and she brings that out in August and August brings out Jane’s domesticity. And the side romances are *chef’s kiss* beautiful and sexy as well.

I was initially hesitant to start a book on Viv’s story before Legends and Lattes took place. I’d already gotten attached to Tandri, Thimble, Hemington, Cal, etc and Viv’s character in L&L. I was especially hesitant because of the romantic aspect of the book knowing it would ultimately lead no where.

However , I was pleasantly surprised by the heart this story has. The characters are far more rambunctious and crazy in comparison to L&L but I think that fits Viv’s lifestyle before she retired.

Viv in this book is younger, wilder, fiercer, and just tad bit more naive. But I think it’s so interesting reading about a younger Viv.

This book gave a bit of adventure in the cozier world Travis Baldree had created.

*Incoherant happy gremlin noises*

Where do I even start???? EVE. Eve is so funny, and honestly batshit insane sometimes and I love her for it.
Both Jacob and Eve are such funny characters, I had to stop and breathe with how much I laughed.

Jacob is autistic and so is Evie, I’m kind of certain is some form of another neurodivergence (I’m leaning towards ADHD). Makes my fellow “acoustic” heart sing.

The book FAR surpassed my expectations. It is witty and silly and shockingly sexy, especially Jacob’s POVs in my opinion but not by much.

I literally sat down and read this in 4 hours.

Now, I read the Brown Sister trilogy ALL out of order but this has convinced me to read the others.

This was so cute I think my teeth rotted.

No but seriously, it’s a sweet “high fantasy low stakes” book about an Orc and her cozy little Cafe.

It’s like if you took a DND character on a campaign but then decided that they wanted to spice their life up with coffee, bard music, and baked goods. Its wonderful.

For whatever reason I decided that finishing this book in public was a good idea. (Probably because I couldn’t wait to get home).
This would result in me sitting in a classroom with my eyes straight ahead chanting “Don’t Cry Don’t Cry Don’t Cry.” Over and over again.

When I got home and I actually did end up crying and sobbing my eyes out. Amelie Wen Zhao’s prose is gorgeous and I am definitely putting this on the top of my list of my favorite Xianxia novels.

I waited MONTHS for this book to initially release and when I got it, I was terrified it wouldn’t live up to my love for the first book. But then it did and more and now I can’t stop crying.

Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Faeries is so fun and so interesting. The book is this cute soft fantasy, written from the perspective of an academic who is journaling her entire experience in this small village. The characters are so full of life and they are not at all your typical cast of characters. Every single one of them is unique and complicated and I adored that so much.
I had heard mixed reviews about the main male character Wendell Bambleby, but I personally adored his silly and extroverted personality. Especially in contrast to Emily’s seriousness.
Overall, this is a perfect book for people who want to sit down with a soft academic fantasy, with beautiful characters.

Eragon is the first book in an amazing fantasy series. Any DnD and Lord of the Rings fan would love this and I think its an amazing series to start off with for Fantasy beginners.
The world of Alagaësia is extensive and the author put his heart and soul into the world and it shows.
No, Eragon isn’t a particularly unique concept bit I don’t think that matters much. Its nostalgic and fantastical in the best of ways.
