God this book was absolutely soul destroying. That alone makes it worthy of 5 stars.

This was my least favourite in the series so far but I still enjoyed it! I just felt like nothing much happened and it wasn’t as memorable as the others. I was excited to see the mention of my hometown, Leeds, and I hope this makes it into the show.

i enjoyed the movie but didn’t like the way the book was written. there was way too much of elio rambling on about how obsessed he was with oliver and not enough actual plot.
i didn’t exactly like either of the main characters. elio’s obsession was creepy and weird and uncomfortable to read. oliver was clearly a groomer, it wasn’t even the age gap that got me it was oliver’s reaction to elio regretting their time together and how he was clearly manipulating a minor because of his guilt.
for some reason, even though this book made me angry and uncomfortable multiple times, i still enjoyed the ending of them both being adults and reconnecting. i found myself wanting to read the second book even though i probably never will.

I loved this a lot! It gave similar vibes to the last of us (minus the zombies and daddy issues) and I loved both of the main characters and was rooting for them. The ending was a tiiiiny bit extreme, but I was actually very happy with it.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 59%.
the first maybe 100 pages of this book were good, but the plot got slower and slower and it just wasn’t keeping me interested anymore. it put me in a big slump for weeks but maybe i’ll go back and finish it one day.

wowww so i’ve been putting off this series for ages but i am so glad i decided to start it. i absolutely loved scarlett and really enjoyed that the book was from her pov. tella annoyed me at times but the twist at the end made me like her a lot more and i'm excited to learn more about her in the next book.
i loved the way this book was written, it was super easy to follow along and the world building was amazing. i can literally picture caraval in my head. i honestly don't know where this series is going to go, maybe another caraval next book?? it's definitely one of my new favourite series!

The pacing of this book felt a little off in the beginning but it quickly redeemed itself. I loved both of the main characters and I really enjoyed seeing their romance blossom. This book was also quite educational as I learnt more about Jewish culture and it had great representation of an empowered and independent woman who works in the sex industry.

I loved loved loved this book. I wasn’t a huuuge fan of normal people but I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one. Sally Rooney’s writing style is very unique and although I struggled with the lack of speech marks at first, I ended up binge reading this book in a day. I feel like all of the characters in this book have morally grey personality traits but they were all surprisingly relatable in some ways. Watching the characters come to life in the TV show made me love this story even more.

This book was good. I feel like for me it was majorly overhyped and it kind of dragged for at least the first half. The pacing in the second half seemed to pick up a little and I have to admit that I did not see the plot twist coming. I’d definitely recommend it to people however the book in its entirety wasn’t as mind blowing as TikTok made out.

I enjoyed this book for the most part but it was nothing spectacular. I liked Ava but Alex just didn't really do it for me. I get it was meant to be the 'hates everyone but her' trope but he was an actual dick. His literal only redeeming qualities is how he treated Ava.
The vibes were just abit off, Alex was all dark and twisty and it was giving mafia vibes but it didn't fit with the general vibe of the book. I feel like for his story line to work the whole book should've been darker.
Also the fact that he is a literal murderer and killed 2 people??? Like it never gets brought up again??
Idk I get what the author was trying to do but I didn't love it.
