The world of this series is incredibly interesting. Every detail that is given to us makes me want more information on how this world works. It’s a nice balance between too much and not enough world building, sitting comfortably in the middle. It’s dark and creepy and slightly complicated… but incredibly intriguing.

Oli makes for a great lead. She doesn’t feel like a carbon copy of other female leads in these type of stories. Being able to see things through her eyes makes it easy to understand her and connect with her. She’s feisty, but also insecure. She is a master of control but still desires to let loose. She’s powerful… but shows moments of weakness that I think anyone can relate to. Overall, my favorite aspect of her character is her deep love and protective nature. She’ll do anything to protect those she loves, even suffer.

The male leads of the story are all very different and distinctive, making it easy to tell them apart… something I appreciate in a reverse harem. We see good and bad in all of them, especially right at the beginning as there is so much animosity between Oli and her bonds. They each play an interesting role in her life. The Draven brothers are the hardest to like for many reasons… but their characters are interesting enough that I want to know more about them and why they are the way they are. My favorites are probably Gryphon and Atlas. Gabe would be nice too, but he is also a little immature for me.

It’s been a while since I’ve liked the first book in a series this much. It’s hard to explain all the reasons, but mostly it’s just how dark and deep the story is. I’ve been craving some real dark and disgusting stories.

The only thing this book really lacked was spice. Sure there were some scenes that got kind of suggestive, but the only real sexual scene was… not to my taste. To each their own, I suppose. Great read overall and I’ll be reading the rest of the series.

Couldn’t finish this, it just got really awkward with the stiffness of the writing and all the mistakes. Characters weren’t likable either and I just didn’t want to waste more time with it.

This book ticks every single one of my boxes. Can’t help but love it. Daddy kink, pleasure dom, impact play, jealous lover, age difference… all so good. Daisy was also relatable. I don’t think it’s mentioned but she was clearly depressed and not dealing with it, so I related to her a lot for that fact.

One small gripe, the ending was kinda… weird. It was an odd way to wrap things up for this couple and I think they deserves to have time to actually TALK things out rather than getting thrown into a very serious commitment.

Hard for me to come up with a review as I just finished and am currently processing all the info that was thrown at us in the last like 15% of the book. A lot is happening now and I’m here for it.

This a fantastic read for lovers of dark retellings and anti-heroes! This is exceptionally dark and filled with moments where you question the morality of basically all of the characters. Winnie is a kind of annoying lead, she repeats the same issues in her head and it feels like she contradicts herself a bit, but I was able to look past her issues pretty easily. The men of this story are what really sell it, that and the lore. Since all the characters are aged up, it changes what kind of world Neverland is and how the people there act. Peter Pan is very different especially, his backstory is quite interesting. Though my favorite characters were the twins, their stories interest me the most.

The spice was very spicy but there wasn’t very much of it. I would have preferred more.

This book does exactly what it’s meant to do and then some.

As it’s a novella, there isn’t really a deep plot, but that doesn’t even really matter to be honest. The world building in just the first few chapters is top notch, that’s what lead me in, and it gets even better later on as well. Then the way the characters were introduced and how they were shown to us, just perfect. I felt like I knew them and who they were and what they wanted very quickly. I need that to be able to enjoy smut at all.

Usually I need characters to be acquainted a bit before the smut for me to actually enjoy it, for them to have some deep connection and conversation, but that wasn’t the case for this one. We already had a pretty good idea of who these leads were before their marriage, but during the smut it just bonded them and made me care more for them. It’s just so perfectly written… it works so well.

For anyone on the fence and seeing this review, read this book! You will not regret it!

This one just didn’t do it for me the way the first book in the series did. It’s hard to pinpoint what exactly was off about it… but I’m pretty sure it was just the characters. Both the H and h were rather boring… their entire personalities just “I love my mate” without anything else there to fill them out some. Auryn, though I loved her name, was also annoying. The dialogue was lack luster, felt very forced most of the time… robotic even.

And though there was some plot going on, a war the minotaurs were fighting with another alien race, it was rather boring as well! Not much happened… and when something did happen it just wasn’t described very well. I didn’t feel attached to these characters so I didn’t really like their smut scenes either.

The only thing I sort of liked was the descriptions of how the Minotaur people lived and what their home world was like. There were also quite a few characters thrown around that made things interesting occasionally. Not the worst I’ve read, but it wasn’t good.

This story had a surprising amount of world building considering how short it was, and that was what I found most interesting. I liked the world with all the secrets and such that the author created. The romance? Ehh… there were a couple cute parts but that’s about it. The sex was sex… that’s about it. Definitely needed a dub-con and non-con trigger warning. It didn’t bother me, but I’d much rather have a warning so I’m prepared for what I’m reading.

This story does what it’s intended to do, I think, and three stars is fine for that even if I don’t appreciate the way it was done. Due to how forceful Jordan was and the fact that he didn’t really explain anything to Trish… it ruined the dynamic for me personally.

To tell the truth I had good feelings about this at first… but things just kept going down hill very quickly. The fl seemed interesting at first, she was on the run from an abusive ex and working two jobs to take care of her daughter… but then she actually left her daughter alone at night to work at a bar… even when her daughter got sick. What really told me I wasn’t going to like this was when she started to go home to her daughter, escorted by the ml, instead of worrying about her kid having a fever and rushing home, she’s thinking about fucking the man she just met! I get immediate attraction, but have some damn priorities!

Tried to get through more but just lost it after she purposefully walks in on him naked… while working as a cleaner in his home… while her daughter is in the next room. Again, priorities. After that I read some reviews and based on the experiences of others I don’t think I want to waste any more time with this one.

Remember, just because it’s kinky doesn’t mean it can be a shitty story.
