This book does exactly what it’s meant to do and then some.

As it’s a novella, there isn’t really a deep plot, but that doesn’t even really matter to be honest. The world building in just the first few chapters is top notch, that’s what lead me in, and it gets even better later on as well. Then the way the characters were introduced and how they were shown to us, just perfect. I felt like I knew them and who they were and what they wanted very quickly. I need that to be able to enjoy smut at all.

Usually I need characters to be acquainted a bit before the smut for me to actually enjoy it, for them to have some deep connection and conversation, but that wasn’t the case for this one. We already had a pretty good idea of who these leads were before their marriage, but during the smut it just bonded them and made me care more for them. It’s just so perfectly written… it works so well.

For anyone on the fence and seeing this review, read this book! You will not regret it!
