A great start to this interesting series! All of the characters were written so well and will such depth, I feel as though I know them and that makes me want to read their stories even more.

The romance is HOT and HEAVY right off the bat and continues to be so all through the book. Very spicy in content as well as frequency. Do be mindful of content warnings though, there are some things that are not for everyone in this book. I appreciate how the darker aspect were handled, they weren’t glossed over but actually explored in the minds and conversations of the characters. I appreciate darkness more when it’s a topic of the book and not just a trope.

Our beautiful male leads are each very different individuals and play off of each other in fun ways. I enjoyed seeing the guys interacting just as much as seeing them with Calista. A dangerous blood sucking sex fiend, a golden retriever peace maker angel, and a grumpy daddy mage, each with depth and purpose.

Calista is a fl you want to get behind. Watching her growth and exploration feels satisfying due to really seeing how her life was before the bond instead of just being told, we were truly shown and not told which is something I appreciate.

This was an experience if nothing else lol not what I expected though.

The art on the cover is gorgeous but doesn’t represent what the shifter actually looks like. He goes from a man to a normal reindeer, nothing like the cover. There are really only a few moments where she even sees him shift and they are very brief.

The best part is the fact that these SANTA’S reindeer lol it’s hilarious every time they talk about Santa. I just kept laughing. I wasn’t expecting it and it didn’t bring anything to the story except to make me laugh.

The smut is not what I would call top quality. It’s a bit stiff and without feeling… like they’re going through the motions. That’s not what I want to read about. It almost feels like it was written by a man, especially the language used. That’s the real bummer because there is quite a bit of smut scenes.

I would have enjoyed seeing them bond over the reindeer more, so that their bond wasn’t just physical. The fight in the later part of the story didn’t add anything and was resolved too easily. It was so weird.

Read this if you need a good laugh! Or if you’re super into Christmas and want something about Santa’s reindeer. Other than that… it’s a pass.

Really enjoyed this and felt like it was a great way to set up the world if this series. Vektal and Georgie are adorable and often times hilarious. Oddly enough I don’t see a lot of jokes in erotica like this, but this one had some great ones that had me literally laughing out loud.

Now I’m on to read the rest of the series! If they’re even half as good as this one, I’m sure I’ll enjoy every one.

Short, sweet, and to the point. It was nice getting info about the Xarc’n aliens for when I read the rest of the series.

This was really fun and exciting! Rendash is an interesting character and Zoey was very relatable for me. The romance was spicy and sweet and took the right amount of time in my mind. I liked learning about Rendash’s culture a little here and there but I really wish we could have seen more.

Overall a good read!

Personally, this is the best book in the series specifically due to all the world building it does. The other two are exactly hot and heavy and sort of just throw the world at you in bits and pieces, but this one really answers the questions. I like the romance as well, it’s slower than the other two, and Shelby expressed a lot more of the confusion and hesitation I assume most regular people would actually have. The sex scene aren’t as good in this one though, my least favorite of the bunch in that regard. Vagan is the best male lead! I really appreciate how conscious and thoughtful he is, big contrast in regards to the other two, and how they officially meet in the beginning is such a great set up for him to honestly be seen as not a monster but a hero.
