I totally relate to Foster and being uncomfortable talking to people. It's great to be with someone who talks so much like Beth.
When everything I read is either a big secret crush or instant dislike, it's really refreshing to read something where the main characters start out pretty neutral and normal around each other. Let that slow burn start!
It's so sweet when he realizes he's trying to save her instead of leaving it to her to handle her own business. His apology is genuine and he takes her feelings seriously. There are so many romance novels that I complain about where the man takes care of every little things without even consulting the woman about her own life. This was very heartwarming.
Whenever I read hockey romance I always think there's too much hockey in it. This was no exception.
OMG. The characters in a romance actually spoke to each other like adults and communicated their feelings. That alone is worthy of 5 stars.
I don't read sexy time scenes so I can't give a spice rating. I can say it's easy to skip ahead and I don't feel like I missed anything.
Spicy chapters: 20, 21, 29, 33
I'm sorry, but no. Who doesn't listen to Christmas music while decorating thier Christmas tree?
The epilouge isn't really an epilouge, it's more of a preview of the next book.
The author gifted me an arc of this and this is my honest review. O Goalie Night will be available November 1.

Overall I liked it. The kissing scenes were a little drawn out imo.
I was a little disappointed that he didn't build her a wheelchair for her for Christmas. That's really what I thought would happen. Especially when he said that the library ladder was on wheels and could move around the room.

The whole storyline of keeping his secret from Hyacinth and the rest of the Bridgertons was pretty gross. His plan to compromise her before she finds out and thereby forcing her to marry him is disturbing.
I do have to say that Hyacinth is my favorite Bridgerton. She's funny and smart and says what is on her mind. Hyacinth is to the Bridgerton books what Eloise is to the Netflix show.
Lady Danbury is in this book more than any of the others and I just love her.
Okay Gareth totally redeemed himself in the end!

He is so swoony though. I feel the butterflies when I read his thoughts about Aspen.
However I do not at all like that he just payed for her car repairs without consulting her or even telling her and the mechanic just agrees not to tell her. And then again he just payed for some fancy security system for her house and didn't even bother to tell her. It's all a little yucky.

This is seriously bookish! It's fun to read something with bookish lingo dropped into normal conversation, as if everybody knows what tbr and arc means.
I totally agree with maxime though, you must explain the one star not just not rate a book that doesn't hit 4 stars. And since when is 3 stars a bad rating? 3 stars is a solid good book!

She briefly mentions some guy touching her on a public bus and not swatting him away, not moving or anything, just insulting and humiliating him. And I could just perfectly see that. Very Emily Gilmore.
I admire how she spoke about abortion. Very matter of fact, and how planned parenthood does not take it lightly.
