I loved this book as much as A Strange and Stubborn Endurance! Queer fantasy with romance and politics and world-building that felt unique and really fun. Vel and Cae are going through so much as they recover from the events of the first book, but they make strides together in All the Hidden Paths.

Asrien was a surprise, and I have to admit it took me a while to like him, and he certainly made some questionable decisions, but overall, I enjoyed his character and can definitely see him and his general lover being explored more in future books. Their sex scene was so hot!

All of the sex scenes were done so well it makes me wish there were more, especially between Vel and Cae, who I really just want to see live their happy lives with Spoons and Son of Spoons, but then we'd get no more books! And I desperately hope that we get more books with these two, and it feels like a possibility. The introduction of them to the Asa and the Asa's apparent fondness of the two of them (especially Vel) has so much potential for adding more to the series, and I hope Foz Meadows gets/wants to do so!

PLUS I need more Markel! and now I need more Qarrah as well!!
