"Fourth Wing" by Rebecca Yarros is a fantasy book that doesn't exactly ground breaking. Sometimes, it feels a bit childish, cheesy and cringy. I find the constant deaths of students at the academy a bit odd. If dragonriders are so crucial to the kingdom's safety, why are the challenges they face more about luck than skill? And why is it normal for recruits to kill each other?

In "Fourth Wing," the worldbuilding feels a bit lacking. While dragons and signets are cool, I wish there were more magical elements like plants or smaller creatures. I mean, what do the dragons even eat? Just bunnies? It seems a bit unrealistic. Adding more magical creatures as food sources for the dragons could have made the world more interesting and believable. Overall, adding more the magical aspects would have made the setting richer and the story more engaging.

As for the romance Violet and Xaden's relationship is intriguing, with Xaden's sweet gestures towards Violet adding depth. However, the frequent steamy scenes might be a bit much for some readers. (But I swear to god If Violet says she wants to climb Xaden like a tree one more time-)

Despite its flaws, "Fourth Wing" manages to keep you hooked with its storytelling. Yarros does a great job of sucking you into the world she's created, flaws and all.

Overall, "Fourth Wing" is a flawed but enjoyable read. If you can overlook its shortcomings, you'll find yourself swept up in the story.

TLDR
Though it is a very flawed book I still very much enjoyed it.
