This was a fun read but there's a specific plot choice I would prefer to have been different and ever since thinking of that I haven't beenable to get that off my mind.

Loved getting to see Suki's perspective and a bit of her life on Kyoshi island prior to the Aang and the rest going there. I think the primary reason I won't go into those 4 stars is cause I felt like it wasn't enough, there was this massive opportunity to give us some more about her training, her life as well as a bit more of her experience at boiling rock prison leading up to her rescue. That opportunity wasn't taken and I felt a little let down, was this great regardless... yes. However that missed opportunity really bothered especially with Suki being such a great character knowing her better is great but I feel there was definitely more we could've gotten.

I think this was a very interesting way to tell her story (the author) it's all about her childhood and growing up doing figure skating. I will say though that I found myself vaguely at the end wondering where the rest was it ended very abruptly and I think either by adding more or continuing on a a little longer we could have had a memoir/biography that felt whole and complete but overall was very well done.
