“I don’t get stronger when you shield me from things, but I can draw strength from you if you walk with me through them.”

Reel was a such beautiful story of love, commitment, strength, and pursuit of dreams. The historical tribute to Black artist made it even better! I love Kennedy Ryan’s work! My only wish for this book is that particular scenes focused on intimacy that didn’t include sex but nonetheless it was a phenomenal read

Whew! Ten years is a long time to love someone from a distance! The plot of One Day in December was refreshing. Laurie and Jack have a love at first sight moment but are literally separated by the bus Laurie is sitting on while Jack sits at the bus top. The author did an excellent job with Laurie and Jack’s POVs over the years. I wanted to love this book more however I felt the storyline was drug out longer than it needed to be. I found myself bored for a portion of the book. I found the ending to be very abrupt given the yearssss that we spent with the characters in the book.

If you love Hallmark movies during the Holidays you will love Christmas in Spite of You!
Noel and Kanton are forced to spend Christmas week together after a mix up with their short term rental! While Noel is literally Miss Christmas, Kanton on the other hand despises the holiday! It’s kind of an enemies to lovers trope but their hate for their situation can’t outweigh their attraction! Even though they only had a week together, I appreciated the timing and pace of their story! If you enjoyed “Only for the Week” I think you’ll enjoy Christmas in Spite of you!

Stumbled on this book after seeing a post on TikTok. Whew! D & D’s story is packed. Davina is a successful entrepreneur whose husband passed away. Deke is an NBA star, who while very attractive, has experienced some tragedy. What should have been a meeting about business leads to much more! This is a beautifully written story. The author wrote on the topics of  loss, grief, DV, and trauma so well. She was intentional with her words but descriptive enough that you felt attached to the character’s stories. It was also a reminder that no matter how successful one may be and all the things we may have true happiness can be found in healing and in love. And lastly, Spice Warning 🌶️🤭
