Such a disappointment. My least favourite Oyeyemi I’ve read so far.

I think this might just be my favourite Stephen Graham Jones yet. Just so fucking bloody brilliant and original, I won’t be over this one for a long time!

I don’t even know where to start with this one because it was just so damn good that it blew my mind into smithereens. Normally I can smell a twist a mile away but this one came out of left field and had my jaw literally dropping. So good and so deliciously creepy!

A little longer than was necessary but still an absolutely fascinating read on the wild and sad story that obsessed the whole world and still kind of does.

Junji Ito just never fails to wow me with their work. It’s always creepy and horrifying and visually stunning. I really don’t see what more you can ask for! I particularly enjoyed the titular story from this collection, probably one of my faves by Ito that I’ve read.

I really adored my other read by this author so I figured why not try another one and I’m definitely glad I followed that instinct because I ended up thoroughly enjoying it. It’s a fun and heart warming Peter Pan retelling but not without those poignant dark moments and I had a great time reading it.

A book involving a book is always a win for me! I’ve been meaning to read this one for awhile and I’m glad I finally got around to it because I absolutely loved it! I wasn’t the biggest fan of Harrow’s first book so I’m glad this one turned out much better. It’s really my kind of story and I couldn’t have enjoyed it more!

I don’t even know where to start with this book because it’s just SO dang brilliant! Without a doubt THE best horror novel I have read or will read this year. Absolutely nothing can top this book! I’ve read and been obsessed with Nick Cutter before but this book brings that to a whole new level. It’s definitely the best he’s ever written and I honestly don’t know how he can possibly top it, it’s just that good! In typical Cutter fashion it is gory as all hell and certain parts kind of made my stomach turn but that’s what I’ve come to love and expect from him at this point. I really can’t recommend this one highly enough, it’s absolutely mind blowing how good it is!

Definitely not my fave Ann Rule that I’ve read. I didn’t hate it but it just seemed to drag on and be unnecessarily long. The story itself was interesting but it could have been cut down to be more snappy and captivating, there was a lot of repetition going on.

I don’t even know where to start with this one because it was just so damn good. I’ve been wanting to read it for AGES and I’m so glad I finally decided to pick it up amongst my ever growing TBR because I just loved every single page. Just so many fascinating facts and stories, I want more!
