R.F Kuang's writing style is wonderfully easy to read, and that was part of why I enjoyed this book far more than I expected to going into it. None of the characters were likeable (which was clearly the point) but the story and commentary it makes was interesting and holds attention well enough that you don't need anyone to root for.

It's not quite like any book I've picked up before, but I'm very glad I did.

I Didn't Do the Thing Today: Letting Go of Productivity Guilt by Madeleine Dore

Did not finish book. Stopped at 49%.
I was invested in this book for the first few chapters, but after that it seemed to be repeating the same things over and over and I felt that I wasn't gaining anything from continuing to read. I reached the part of the book which quoted, verbatim: "You don't have to read to the end of a book [] out of obligation" and  decided to follow that piece of advice.

I might come back to this later.
