Beauty's Release by A.N. Roquelaure, Anne Rice
3.75
Still liked the second one the best, and this one was probably my least favorite from the trilogy though I still enjoyed it. There is a happy ending to the series and if you are a fan I think you will be happy with it.
Beauty's Punishment by A.N. Roquelaure, Anne Rice
5.0
My favorite out of the trilogy.
This book starts after the surprising events/decision of beauty at the end of the first book. She is off with a cart full of other naughty and misbehaving slaves on their way down to the village. I'll try not to be too spoiler-y in this but upon arrival, they are auctioned off to the inhabitants of the town. This event is apparently highly anticipated by the people and it's mentioned that townsfolk save their money all year for the chance to turn a prince or prince into their slave.
The BDSM in this book is more hardcore in my opinion in a good way. I really really enjoyed reading about the various situations the cast of characters was put into and also the various slaves' (Beauty included) experiences and perspectives. Honestly, if you couldn't get into the first one this could be read as a stand-alone just fine.

The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty by Anne Rice
3.0
A twist on the fairy tale retelling. This is a (somewhat light in my opinion) BDSM story written by Anne Rice under a pseudonym. The story starts where the "Prince Charming" would be waking up the princess with a kiss. Let's just say things get a little more intense than that and she leaves her home as a slave to the prince. Something that isn't an oddity in this world it seems. This book takes place mostly during Beauty's time at the castle. It's a fairly well-written BDSM story featuring a lot of spanking and M/s relationships everywhere.
