Awwww!!!! I’m so happy with this one!

Firstly, I really appreciate how Stacy’s emotions we’re dealt with. For some reason I’m seeing a lot of reviews that can’t stand how upset she was with Pashov, but it seems that people are forgetting she’s allowed to feel things too. She’s hurting because she feels as though she has lost a large part of her world, so it doesn’t shock me that she’s extra sensitive and touchy. Her mate nearly died! And with his memories gone, it’s almost like he’s not even there… She experienced trauma and is allowed to feel things because of it.

The first time they had sex, wow.. intense. But it didn’t shock me that Stacy cried. She’s still going through a lot… and sex is such an important part of their relationship, as with many, so to have that reminder that Pashov really isn’t completely there still… I could feel her heartache.

Seeing Pashov’s point of view was great. I know he feels lost and confused and I don’t think he was suffering just from memory loss. It was more like he suffered some brain damage as well… like his mother and sister and all the hunters trying to tell him how to fix things with Stacy and him being a little less than receptive… I think he was going through a lot more than everyone realized. Of course no one could know that though. He was hesitant, something that wasn’t in his nature, but with time he really started coming back to himself and gaining confidence in his relationship. But he constantly respected Stacy above all, even when he didn’t know what she wanted or how to make her happy, his only desire was to make her happy or at the very least not make her sad. Plus all the daddy moments with Pacy were fucking adorable.

I really enjoyed all of the lore drops in this book! Learning more about how everyone got there was my favorite part honestly. But the romance between Farli and Mardok really was hot! It was so sweet and realistic. Having Mardok there now will be great for the world in general, he has a lot of knowledge and can lead to new discoveries.

Also… so excited about Bek’s little part… looking forward to more!!!

The spicy scenes in this book were some of the best in the series! I adore Harrec and Kate as a couple and they’re rather interesting on their own as well. Kate does get a little repetitive when she’s talking about her tallness and how ugly it makes her feel, but I know it’s not an issue I have so I can’t fully understand her feelings.

The surprise at the end makes me really really excited for the next book!

Really great concept, very creepy and interesting. I love how Naomi writes sex scenes and this book was no let down in that department. As someone who is afraid of spiders, that aspect didn’t even really bother me.

Liked this one better than the first actually! Very different characters and story, but the story of it wrapped me in tight. I loved all the suspense, I wasn’t sure Stryker and Norah were ever going to escape. The last smut scene was super spicy and I LOVED it!

The build up was soooo slow but the ending of the main couple was really cute, like adorable levels. The little twist at the end end was interesting and I’m curious to see how that’ll play out.

So the best part of this book for me was the action at the start. While I like Summer and I sympathize with her uncontrollable nervous chatter, she’s not my favorite of the girls. Warrek is great in all his silence and thoughtfulness, and while I enjoyed his POV at lot, he got a little boring too.

Even the sex scenes couldn’t keep my attention very well and that’s rare. Really the only thing I was interested in was the stuff going on outside of their relationship. But all of that was super interesting! So the book still gets a really good rating overall.

Since we’re dealing with Brooke and Taushen next I’m hoping there will be more in regards to the state of our Ice Planet tribe if you know what I mean…

I like this one a lot actually. I understood Brooke’s feelings and her way of thinking, especially considering all the things she’s gone through, and I think she was reasonable in her wants and needs. For some reason that doesn’t see to be the consensus I find when reading reviews… but oh well. Taushen was sweet but I also like his forcefulness, really sexy. I think the time they spent together was really important for them to bond emotionally instead of physically.

All of the world building was great as well, though not exactly what I expected. I’ll be reading the first book in the Ice Home series now and I really look forward to more world building.
