Sleeping Beauties by Stephen King, Owen King

Single handedly the worst book I have ever read. No stable plot. Rife with mysogony and sexism that I think is supposed to be trying to make a point but fails miserably.

I understand King's novels (particularly his older ones) were cultural phenomenons and paved the way for horror authors but this is just embarrassing.

A spooky YA perfect for the Autumn months.

Lane explores sensitive topics such as mental health, eating disorders, and co dependant relationships through the story of a teenage girl with a love of the history of her local witches.

Perfect for fans of The Society for Soulless Girls and Christina Henry.

I really wanted to like this and although the first half of the book and it's initial premise were really strong, ultimately it just fell flat by the last third. What started as nuanced and spooky became very cliché and cringey

This is very much just about sharks in general and there is very little on the megaladon

I just wanted one good thing to happen to Mungo, that was all.

I'm Thinking of Ending Things but from the perspective of a teenage girl.

I had no idea what was going on and then when I did I was shooketh. Incredibly dark and eerily surreal.
