I have never before read an account, fictional or otherwise of blackout sex and the trauma that it leaves behind so viscerally as I have in Gold Rush. This is not an easy read but then again it shouldn't be and Olivia is an incredibly strong woman to tell the world her trauma in such a way . This is an essential read
I have genuinely never laughed out loud at a book before and this had me giggling in public aswell as unearthing a lot of my own damaging views about myself. A must read for any single lady
I wanted this to be so much better than it was but it just dragged and the queer relationships (as much as I liked them ) felt forced and unnecessary to the plot that also seemed to coagulate near the end
