Fun read for the holiday, though it can be difficult to get through because of the older language. Not a huge deal in the end, and I found myself really enjoying the supernatural horror elements present in the book that you don't always see in movie adaptations.
Fun and cute, but felt like it went on for twice as long as it should have. I enjoyed the characters, though it was hard to tell them apart when the POV switched, and I often forgot who was the current focus. Made some dialogue-heavy scenes confusing to read as they both sound the same.
Did not disappoint in the HEA department though. It was fun to see two love-struck gays fall in love, second-guess themselves, and then fall back in love all over again.
Fun read though hard to get into right away. Loved when it started to get spooky though. Horrifying to think about, but great to read. The ending felt rushed/forced IMO, and that was a bit disappointing but I enjoyed the book as a whole. The world building and storytelling of spelunking on a foreign planet was fascinating and cool as hell.
Not my kind of book; the writing style was jarring at first but you get used to it. Reads like a classic 80s slasher though, which was very fun. Gory and lots of action. Worth a read, it was an entertaining roller coaster.
Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated
Very fun read that was not what I expected. I like the take on demons and how that played out in the book, even tho some parts had me rolling my eyes or scratching my head. Not enough to detract from my enjoyment though
Good, quick read. I appreciated the way Hades's chronic illness was portrayed and made to be a central part of his character. It's short, it has two men of different minorities falling in love, it's worth the read.
