I can see why someone might not like scalzi's writing, I did find the way the dialog written a bit annoying, but overall I adored this. I loved the codas in the end after the main story so we could get a further sense of After & the very end made me cry.

I loved this, and I don't even watch star trek* πŸ˜…

*no the book isn't REALLY about star trek, but I did learn that red shirts is a reference to it that I didn't know but its explained well in the story without taking you out of it so it can be enjoyed without knowing anything about ST. like I don't! 🫢🏻

this first issue was absolutely delightful. funny, cute, outstanding art, love it! I'm a huge fan of the game and this was a great beginning I can't wait to see go further. a great addition to the universe!
