A really different feel from other Nesbo books, although, as always, the characters are incredibly engaging and the mystery is beautifully complex. I'm going to be thinking about what happened after the last page for a while.
I've seen this compared to various mysteries and noirs, but honestly, more than anything, I think it has a strong East of Eden vibe.
