The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath

5.0

I read a lot of Sylvia Plath's poetry in high school but it never really did it for me. I finally read this after graduating and loved it. It's on my nightstand and it's my go-to book when I'm not interested in anything else. I think I love it because she articulates the internal turmoil of the creative, intelligent female so well. My experiences with mental illness were never as severe as hers, but I could definitely relate.
