Ah, and a 5-star book was born. This was the perfect ending to such an excellent story-arc. The pacing never felt off, the surprises were surprising but not outlandishly so, and the finished product left me with one of those glorious-but-draining book hangovers. I already plan to buy these in their physical form for my bookshelf. Now, those covers do make me hesitate - they aren't my favorite, and they totally turned me off these books to begin with - they are nearly cheesy in their rendering. Perhaps I can get the UK editions. Or, maybe the hardcovers have plain bindings with the title stamped on once the dust jackets are removed.
