Disjointed?

Sloan seems even more disconnected to the people around him. He focuses on the few he wants, but still pursues his promise to fix the world. The intrusion of other pantheons was unexpected, but I feel like I should have expected it. The meetings with Sara confused me. Is this going to be a romantic relationship or friendship or something I'm unable to see currently? A good read.
