i really enjoyed this book. i was especially enthralled by the opening few chapters which really built up the dread fast and i found it hard to put it down so i could go to bed. toward the end its grip loosened somewhat as the scope of the horror...diminished? shifted? i'm not sure but it just didn't horrify me the same way. overall though, i did quite enjoy it and i'm very curious to see how the upcoming film interprets and presents the story.
