Death Adder by Naomi Lucas
5.0
I tried to make this baby last because I love this series so much. These Naga men are just the cream of the crop!
Celeste was an interesting lead and I enjoyed seeing things through her view, especially all the interactions she had with her team and other humans. She’s a real boss lady and cares for those under her and I appreciate that. When her men wouldn’t listen to her it was irritating though. I don’t know how many times she had to say the words “I’m Captain”
Zhallaix is a dark and brooding male lead, something I adore. Every once of sweetness we see from him is squeezed out with great for and I loved seeing it. His lines are some of my favorites. The way his interacted with Celeste’s men was great as well. I appreciate how his background also broadens the views of this world, bringing more to light. While it’s not the giant info dump we got in the last book, it’s still enough to keep me seriously interested.
The world of this series is one of my favorites of any Sci-Fi romance I’ve read, it’s darker than most and things feel very real, like this is a future that could actually occurs which makes the info we find out on each book feel weightier.
