I wanted to really like this quiet novel about Belle and Sigh, a couple who meet and slowly draw into their own world of just themselves over the years, but there wasn’t enough developing on the page of the duo to either feel like an invited guest or a secret voyeur. (Kind of felt like a story prompt or an assignment.)
