This Cowboy of Mine: Includes a Bonus Novella by R. C. Ryan

5.0

“Say it like you mean it, boy. And mean it when you say it.” That quote is repeated often in the novel and it’s the perfect foundation for the theme of This Cowboy of Mine.

Set among the Tetons of Wyoming, Kirby Regan is returning to her roots, working at the Wyoming branch of the Association of Land Management. On an assignment, Kirby is to track and record sightings of wild mustangs. But here assignment is suddenly called to a halt when an impending snowstorm and the threat of an escaped convict derails her plans. Forced to seek shelter in the mountains, Kirby stumbles upon Casey Merrick, the local rancher and veterinarian.

After a rough start, Casey and Kirby find themselves trapped in a cave, forcing them to work together to escape their confines. So begins a budding relationship that neither Casey or Kirby can set aside. But the threat of Killer Keller, the escaped convict still looms over their heads.

This Cowboy of Mine is my first to read Western Romance novel and I loved it. I thoroughly enjoyed the family dynamic and how Casey and Kirby were somehow made for each other. Added to the romance aspect, you have the excitement and thrill of the criminal element — that of Killer Keller.

Truly a wonderful romance novel, This Cowboy of Mine will have you wanting to read more from the author, R. C. Ryan. I am certainly looking forward to reading more of from the Wranglers of Wyoming series. Five stars. I loved it.

I received a paperback copy of the novel from Forever (Grand Central Publishing.) The review herein is completely my own and contains my honest thoughts and opinions.
