It’s a beautifully written book, I just felt the ending was anticlimactic. If this is going to be a series, I’d forgive the ending as a teaser for what’s to come but stopping right there is kind of painful without at least the broad strokes of where the main characters will go. Despite this, I do love the worldbuilding and the push pull of the characters that feels very base human to me even among a foreign world and an alien terrain. I just wish we had less loose ends at the finish of the novel.
