The City of the Living by Nicola Lagioia
1.0
I'm a fan of true crime novels. So given the opportunity to read and review City of the Living, I jumped at the chance. Unfortunately, this novel was a miss for me. Somehow, I think I expected something along the lines of Helter Skelter or similar. But that didn't happen.
I believe that some things got lost in translation since the flow was a little haphazard and really nothing exciting occurs except for some tedious interrogations.
Maybe I'll try reading it again someday to see if my assessment changes. But for now, it's a one star DNF at 34% completion.
I received a DRC from Europa Editions through Edelweiss The review herein is completely my own and contains my honest thoughts and opinions.
