LikeWar: The Weaponization of Social Media by P.W. Singer, Emerson T. Brooking

5.0

i definitely felt there were a few instances of American exceptionalism or at least America-centric thinking by the authors but on the whole I would recommend this book. it's a great overview of how first the internet and then social media developed and how they're effecting everything from interpersonal relationships to the democratic process to terrorism. it's fairly accessible writing and definitely not uninteresting, both of which help with ease of reading (i know both can make or break non-fiction even when one values a book's subject).
