Silver Savage by Iona Strom, LS Anders
3.0
This is not the best nor the worst I’ve read in this genre, but it’s closer to the top of the list than the bottom for me. It follows standard formula which I personally enjoy.
- Mars needs women ✅
- Fated mates ✅
- instant attraction/love ✅
- human abduction and dropped in alien planet ✅
- leader of the human group is mated to leader of good alien group ✅
I think you can get the picture with that.
My complaints were mostly the speed of the romance and immediately having sex, while I’m used to fated mates and such I prefer when the two have to do more talking instead of instantly hopping into bed. My preference is for them to talk while the tension builds and then the sex scene is more satisfying. I also prefer more talking during the sex, there wasn’t really any dialogue during any of the sex scenes… just descriptions of what they were doing.
I’ll definitely be continuing this series as it’s set up in my favorite way, with an over arching plot that continues for each book. I also really enjoyed the characters, they’re really portrayed well and as individuals so I felt I got to know them. I’m sure the rest of the series will be a fun ride. And who knows, the issues I have with this book may improve with the later books, I’ve seen that happen in these big series plenty of times.
