Training montages

I really enjoy how passionately the Aether's Guard Magi learn, and seeing it spread to the people around them is sweet. The whole training montage was cute, and the devotion the soldiers show seems unrealistically idealistic, but this is a book. I also don't know anything about real life military soldiers, so there is that too. The repeated exposure of the mistreated eurtik is very telling.
