The Examiner by Janice Hallett

3.0

This wasn't my favorite from Hallett, but I always appreciate how she can make the epistolary form so much fun and approachable (not an easy feat to ensure readers can keep up with what's happening without being overtly exposed to the behind-the-scenes). The author's notes on how she wanted to highlight how academia can play into fraud and other criminal behaviors are also on point, knowing what we know about institutions' investments in businesses that encourage ethnic cleansing worldwide.
