Coraline and her parents move to a new flat in the countryside. She is very interested to explore all of the rooms, but she is disappointed to find a door with a brick wall behind it where the other half of the house was before it was transformed into a flat.
However, the next day, she goes back to the door and opens it, finding another dimension with her other mother. The other mother cooks better food and has better drinks and she treats her nicer.
All seems well until a cat tells Coraline the truth. What has she done? How will she get back to her old life?
