Act Your Age, Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert

5.0

again, fantastic...seriously this one is the best of the whole series. eve is so endearing and funny. jacob is so sweet to her...the whole thing is just so so good...talia hibbert...i love you.

quotes i love:

"Call me, she mouthed with an ostentatious wink.
'We don't even have your bloody contact details!' Jacob yelled after her.
'Darling,' she replied, 'if you wanted them so badly, you should've asked.'"

"More about people in general--about how her friends never liked her quite as much as she liked them. How they dropped her as soon as someone better came along, or pushed her to the edge of the circle when space was tight, or generally treated her as optional rather than vital."

"She scowled through the tug of guilt in her stomach.
'Holy ginger biscuit, Jacob Wayne, are you trying to make me crumble into a pile of sad and sandy regret?'
'Yes,' he said. 'It makes you awkward and babble-y and then you say things like holy ginger biscuit.'"

"He wanted inside her confetti-strewn head every chance he got. It was the only foreign country he could remember wanting to visit."

"She walked out from under the shade of an oak tree and it was like watching the sun rise."

"Now, he was the man Eve Brown would tell anything. Which felt like one of the top five most powerful positions in the world."

"There. There was his gold: Eve's smile."
