Will need to reread to fully grasp my opinions, but very many troubling, however important, themes throughout and is representative of the time it was written. Great execution from Williams!
Graphic: Alcoholism, Cursing, Domestic abuse, Racial slurs, Toxic relationship, and Forced institutionalization
Moderate: Classism
Minor: Slavery
As tags say, read at your own risk of these! These things would usually mean I don't pick up the book in the first place, but it was a required reading. Still really good in grasping the attitudes towards different minorities and treatment of such groups in the 1940s America.
