The Secret She Kept by J.S. Ellis

5.0

Whoa! It's like 'Thirteen Reasons Why' with a twist. The Secret She Kept has a suspenseful storyline with well developed characters. So much so that you'll find yourself disliking some characters, and feeling sorry for others. But don't be fooled.

It begins with the murder of Lottie, Anthony's best friend and co-worker. Who could have committed such a brutal act against a nice girl like Lottie? Could it be her toxic boss, Davian? As you read through the book the mystery unfolds as Anthony uncovers a protected file on Lottie's laptop -- the laptop that Lottie entrusted to Anthony.

The file that Anthony uncovers contains recorded videos of Lottie in the year leading up to her untimely death. A video diary of sorts, detailing all the events prior to her death.

An engaging page turner that will keep you guessing until the end. Wow! 4.5 stars rounded up to 5.
