i absolutely fell in love with trent and miles’s relationship, but bubba really brought the entire story together.
at times the story felt a bit repetitive and the inner monologue was way too much and convoluted. the smut was cringier than the first book lowkey but still hot. the romance was super cute and i was constantly giggling while reading it.
to be honest, i wasn't sure how i felt about trent’s personality because he kinda seemed like an asshole in the beginning but once we got to know him more and more, it became quite obvious he—and miles—were really just looking for someone to love, and someone to love them back. they did that for each other. the representation of miles’ anxiety and selective mutism was written and handled with care.
in the end, the entire story was a beautiful, deep romance full of connection and tender love.
