Josie Jaffrey is back with the second book in her Sovereign series. We're thrown deeper into the dystopian world that Jaffrey so beautifully created. The story picks up right where The Gilded King left off, easily living up to the first book. Jaffrey's writing pulls you in and keeps you hooked. I do feel like the pace of The Silver Queen was much slower than that of The Gilded King. There were some twists here and there, especially the cliffhanger at the end. I was also a little disappointed in Emmy, considering the book is named after her we didn't get to see much of her. I cannot wait for the third book.
