A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas

😀
strictly speaking, if i were going to rate this book "objectively," i don't think it would deserve five stars. it's getting a 5 from me, however, because it was exactly what i wanted to read when i picked it up and it delivers a fun story with characters i like spending time with. is it particularily original? no. is it the best version of what it is? probably not, i haven't read every fantasy romance on the market. but i do love a soulmate story, and i like a story where the main character realizes her first-choice love interest wasn't the best choice and goes in a different direction. this book just... works for me. i'll probably reread the scene when feyre accepts rhys' proposal at least a dozen more times.
