A good start to a series. The world building was great, the “bugpocalypse” was described in a lot of detail and is very interesting, I enjoyed that detail the most.

The characters are decent… they didn’t have a lot of back story, just what happened during the bugpocalypse, and I didn’t feel very close to them. There wasn’t much to learn about them to be honest, that’s a bit of a downer for me. They served the purpose they were made for and that’s to guide us into this world, that’s fine with me.

Romance was sweet, kind of odd at times, but sweet. Not very deep though, just generic romance.
