Good prequel - I’m excited for the series

I loved Jo and Clint’s human-cyborg romance. The book had a good mix of sweet, spice, real life issues, and world building. Jo is homesteading on Mars alone after her partner bailed on her. She is an orphan who wants a home of her own. Clint, aka C-487, is a cyborg who has been on Mars for a decade helping to prepare the planet for humans. He is now a Ranger helping to keep law and order. They are drawn to each other from their initial meeting but could a relationship between a human and a cyborg work? This prequel novella was well written and included witty dialogue, characters with dimension and an engaging storyline.
