Silent Lucidity by Tiffany Roberts

A very enjoyable read! Both Abella and Tenthil are well fleshed out characters with interesting personalities. We got a good look at who they were early on so it was enjoyable to follow their story in the direction it went. The setting of this book is one of the best I’ve seen, this author duo is just so descriptive in their writing that I get swallowed into the world they create. The first page of this book does an EXCELLENT job of showing their skill in descriptive writing, it pulled me in immediately.

There is a lot of action, some fighting between the leads, and a whole bunch of sexual tension. While I enjoyed the spice, it was relatively spicy, it wasn’t burning hot… just nice. The way Tenthil and Abella get closer was done well though, it didn’t feel like they were solely lead by their genitals but instead actually bonded. It is a lengthy book, hard to complain about that, but because of that sometimes my mind wondered a little… I knew they were getting to the important parts soon but the middle does drag some.

The side characters were outrageously interesting, especially for how little they were shown, and I’m glad to see a couple have books of their own. “The Master”s alien race was the most interesting to me, so I’m a little disappointed to see that there are no books in this series featuring one of his kind… I’d really like to know more about them.
