Rescued by the Alien Viking by Lucee Joie
4.0
This book was about 3.7 ⭐️s for me. Some really good things, some not so good things.
The not so good things… everything was really rushed, I just wanted more time with the characters actually interacting and learning about each other. Even the conflict wrapped up very quickly. The first sex scene had the FL drunk which I don’t appreciate. It’s good she didn’t regret it, but the ML was trying to hold back but ultimately gave in so it made his attempt at restraint mean nothing.
Now the good things! I really liked the characters! Tora’s background was believable and interesting and she made for a great lead to see the world through. Ragnex was just a good guy all around, every time I read from his POV it was clear he had some inner conflict going on with the way his people handle things and just wanted to do the right thing by everyone. The descriptions of the world were interesting, very post apocalyptic. I liked the setup for the story a lot. The Vikingr race was interesting and a lot was explained about them but not in a way that was overwhelming, just enough to make me want to keep learning about them. I appreciate this author’s writing style, it’s very descriptive and detailed but not overwhelming or slow or boring. It’s clear she just knows how to tell a great story.
