Arguably the best book in the series. The stakes are so much higher, the characters and the plot points are written so well, and the mix of comedy and tragedy did so well to create this war-time story while still keeping it digestible for the age group it was intended for.
Percy’s internal conflict and darker side coming out in the heat war and the deep emotional attachment he and Annabeth share were my defining moments. As well as how the victims of war are on all sides and that what we believe may not be what actually is.
