I really didn't think it was possible but this book was even more phenomenal than the first in the series! And it has officially become one of my all time favourite series. I really can't pick what I loved most about this book, there was just so much going on and I was completely and utterly spellbound! Schwab has created such a beautifully dark and intricate world, I'm just so enchanted by it all from the magic to the different Londons and everything in between! And I fell even more in love with Lila and Kell than I already was. Especially Lila, she is SUCH a badass and I just adore her! And I just love how tormented Kell is, something about it is so endearing to me! Then there's Alucard which I've also grown quite a soft spot for. So basically I just love all the characters! This book definitely had more of a shock factor for me than the first one which definitely added to my enjoyment of the story. Quite a few twists actually had my jaw dropping because I just couldn't believe what had just happened. I was thoroughly engrossed from start to finish and with that crazy cliffhanger of an ending, I'm DYING to start A Conjuring of Light!
