Between Two Sounds: Arvo Pärt's Journey to His Musical Language by Joonas Sildre

emotional informative medium-paced

4.5

A beautifully drawn and told story of about creativity and faith. This graphic biography tells the life story of Estonian composer Arvo Part, examining his compositions, constant problems with Soviet censors, relationships with others in the classical music world (Alfred Schnittke mention!), and the importance of his Christianity. I really loved this. Very grateful to Plough for the ARC.
