One of my dearest friends recommended me this book.
My favourite character is Adam. Don't get me wrong, I love them all. Regardless, if I were to pick one I'd choose him because he's always there for Marie and knows how to make her laugh, also when things went south he managed to keep it together and be the rock for his family. I admire him for this. He's a good soul. Also, an honourable mention is the divorced woman from the esoteric group. She's amazing!
The main character tries to uncover the cause of the tragic events she had to live through while travelling on a train. The story is told through flashbacks and spiced up with many facts concerning suicide. One thing I'd like to mention is the fact that even while discussing serious topics, the author managed to make me laugh. That's impressive and it made it much easier reading about these unfortunate and rather disturbing events.

This part is marvellously written. It's long therefore I won't rewrite it here. I just wanted to mention it.

Page 173, the abyss is depression.

Page 197, joke.
„Hej, Máry!“ „No?“ „Co je nahoře?“ „Jak jako co je nahoře?“ „What's up, néasi! Chachá, chápeš ne? What's up!“
I'm happy the book ended on a positive note. Good ending.
I had so much fun reading! I never would have guessed it. The story is gripping, the characters are interesting and the tips could be useful. Haha. No, but seriously this was a spectacular read and I most definitely recommend it. Yet, absolutely read trigger warnings before picking this book up.
