A good start to this series! Sets up the world nicely, I felt like I understood what was going on and never really felt confused.

Generic set up for an alien romance, women are forced to enter relationships with whoever is their perfect genetic match. Our lead doesn’t support this at all, fighting the process the entire way. It takes time but she does eventually warm up to her mate.

There was a small bit of action near the end which was fun, we got to see how our leads handle themselves in serious situations. I also love when they get to be together after all of the excitement, it’s very satisfying.

I’ll definitely be reading more from this series!
