Landline by Rainbow Rowell

5.0

This is the first book I've been able to finish in a while. There's a reason I read it in two days while I've been stuck with four other books for like two months; and the reason it's that "Landline" is amazing!
I would have expected the marriage theme not to get me, bore and/or scare me, but it was so well written I got hooked.
Firstly, like some booktuber whose name I can't remember said: Rainbow Rowell is the queen of dialogue. And, she really is, and this is really useful being phonecalls like a 70% of the book.
In other hand, I think the smidge of magic gave the book the hint it needed not to only catch adult's attention but young adult readers' too.
I'd like to talk about the characters because I loved how Rainbow made them so human (she always does, heaps for her!) and realistic and still quirky. Like I did not only get attached to Georgie and Neal but to Noomi, Alice and Heather too. On the other side, I would have liked Rainbow to give me more of them, but I know the book had the perfect lenght.
Also, it was really fun to read it was not just entertaining, it made me laugh a lot and I definitely enjoyed reading this book.
Once again, I was expecting more for the ending but I think "more" would have made the ending less realistic and contemporary and Rainbow Rowell-ish.
