Dreyer's English: An Utterly Correct Guide to Clarity and Style by Benjamin Dreyer

5.0

This book was witty, informative, and well written. The style was so conversational that it served to lighten the mood of what could otherwise have been a heavy and boring lecture. And though I disagreed on a few points, I found this book to be chock-full of useful and helpful teachings.

I discovered this book through a variety of points of input—because my husband follows Dreyer on Twitter (he is quite a presence—Dreyer, not my husband), and because Dreyer made the rounds on several podcasts to which I'm subscribed. I was intrigued from the get-go, and loved nearly every single minute of reading it.

The only unfortunate point I could mention is that those who need this book the most aren't the ones apt to read it. Oh, well.
